Peter Armstrong
President
I joined Astley Park Bowls Club in 2004 playing regularly in county and local leagues, enjoying the game and camaraderie with other members. I was appointed Secretary in 2004. In 2014 I was instrumental, along with the help of colleagues, in raising funds for a pop-up sprinkler system to be installed around the green. Since its introduction the quality of the green has greatly improved. I was elected club President on 22nd September 2016

Eugene Hogarth

A few short years ago I joined Astley Park Bowls Club because I could no longer follow my chosen sport and had always wanted to try bowling but never had the time. The members made me very welcome and were most helpful and offered advice, which I can’t repeat here!! I enjoy the challenge and the great sense of fun in the club. My one regret is not finding the time to start bowling earlier than I did. I now have the dubious honour of being the club Chairman.

Ian Hopper

I started bowling in 2008 and was secretary/selector of a bowling club on the outskirts of Durham City for over 3 years. I moved to Holywell in April 2016 and in 2017 joined Astley Park Mens Bowling Club. I still have ties to the Durham area where I manage the Durham City Mid Week Bowling League.
